WABC-TV ran a segment on the legacy of Charles Pollock, a renowned furniture designer and industrial design alumnus who died tragically in a fire in Queens on August 20. Lucia DeRespinis, an industrial design faculty member who went to college with Pollock at Pratt, was interviewed for the piece and spoke of Pollock's immense design talent. Pollock designed his iconic “Pollock Executive Chair” for Knoll in 1963; the chair is still in production and is considered one of the best-selling office chairs in the history of design. It was featured in Pratt's “125 Icons” exhibition in Fall 2012.
