On Thursday, November 16, NBA Hall of Famer Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, arts journalist Patrick Pacheco, and sculptor and Pratt Institute Professor Emeritus John Pai will present awards to this year’s honorees at Legends 2017, an annual scholarship benefit supporting Pratt students and honoring creative icons whose works have helped shape the cultural landscape. The evening’s awards will be presented to photographer and Pratt alumnus George Kalinsky by Monroe, to art collector and educator Corice Canton Arman by Pacheco, and to Pratt alumna and CEO and Design Director of Mottahedeh & Company Wendy Kvalheim by Pai. 

In addition to the Awards Ceremony, Legends 2017 will feature Pratt Institute President-elect Frances Bronet and a live auction hosted by Andrea Fiuczynski, Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Americas at Sotheby’s. The auction will include items donated by past Legends honorees and friends of Pratt.    

The Legends gala will take place at the Mandarin Oriental New York and will begin at 6 PM with a cocktail reception followed by the live auction, dinner, and awards ceremony at 7 PM. Purchase tickets or make a donation.
