Architectural Record recently highlighted the work of architecture alumnus Herve Sabin, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, who returned to his homeland in March 2010 to help with the rebuilding efforts following a destructive 7.0-magnitude earthquake. He was quoted in an article, titled “Haiti Post-Disaster,” as well as featured in an article, titled “L'Ecole de Choix,” which is a collection of new buildings that comprise the campus of a school for 200 children aged pre-kindergarden through fourth grade. Sabin's firm, Studio Drum Collective, was selected to serve as the architect for the project.
